Can you think of a better way to impress a guest than a touch of French sophistication at Aubaine? (Note: this is a trick question. Truth be told, there actually isn't one).
When the founder of Aubaine relocated to London, he was dismayed to discover that he could not find the bread he had so loved in Paris. A slice of Warburtons just will not cut it for a Frenchman. Eventually, the hunger pangs of homesickness prompted him to build his own boulangerie, in the fittingly chic neighbourhood of Chelsea.
It just doesn't get much better than this
Of course, this is no regular bakery; the restaurant is a hot spot for A-listers such as Kylie Minogue and Sienna Miller, who cannot resist a piece of Parisian gourmet. In fact, such was its success that Aubaine opened a second branch in Heddon Street, with another three yet to follow.
We're offering one lucky reader the chance to win the perfect Valentine's Day dinner at the charming and upmarket enclave of the Mayfair branch. The prize includes a three-course meal for two from Aubaine's exquisite, special Valentine’s menu, as well as a glass of champagne on arrival. Expect scallops, lobster raviolis and red fruit tart, complemented by classic romance and French-farmhouse-meets-West-End decor.
Just make sure you leave space for the yummy pastries.
